PARM TechniqueDr. Parminder S. Bhalesar
has developed what he now calls the "PARM" Technique, named
after himself. The "PARM" technique involves 4 aspect to
your treatments. The acroynm stands for: "P" is for physiotherapy. This involves any modalities such as heat/ice, electric muscle stimulation and stretching/strengthening exercises. "A" is for acupressure or ART (active release technique). Acupressure involves placing pressure at certain points of the body to increase blood flow to the area and help relax the muscles. ART involves using a cold median such as a cold spray and with the aid of the doctor, actively working the affected body part to increase the length of the muscle. "R" is for remedies. Remedies include providing advice on different aspects of ointments, nutritional supplements and changes in lifestyle. "M" is for manipulation. Manipulation involves taking your joints and moving them in a certain position to help release fixations that are present. By doing so, your mobility and flexibility increases and you will be able to live with less and even no pain. Virtually every joint in the body may be manipulated. By combining all these attributes into your treatment, you will find a decrease in pain, increase in motion, decrease in recovery time and an increase in well being.
